BRAHMAN Week 2019 bull sale at CQLX Gracemere has been an outstanding success once again, topping last years sale with a gross sale total of $8,541,500 and a 99 per cent clearance rate on the 788 lots presented across the three day sale.
Top sales ran at $105,000, with two bulls attaining top dollar.
Carinya Milwaukee, a grey Lot 189, was sold for $105,000 on account of John Kirk and family of Carinya Brahmans, Gayndah, while on the final day of the three day event, Lot 770 Mt Callan Scully, a polled red equalled the best seller. Mt Callan, Dalby stud is operated by NA & H Sorley.
Another top seller at the event was Token Joe, fetching $100,000 for vendors Token Brahmans and Horses, Rockhampton.
CQLX manager Gavin Tickle said congratulated vendors on the quality of the offering.
“There were fantastic results here, and big congratulations go to all of our selling agents and vendors, all of the bulls were presented in fantastic condition, and in the trying times that we are all experiencing it really is a credit to the vendors,” he said.
Average price on the sale was $10,965, and Mr Tickle said that all stats were up on last year.
“The average price was up by $1300, which just goes to show the strength of the sale here over the three days,” he said.
